Bail Bondsman Writes Book

Notorious bail bondsman Ira Judelson shares lots of behind the scenes info in his book The Fixer. As New York’s most famous bail bondsman, he has worked with many high profile clients.

The book, “The Fixer: The Notorious Life of a Front Page Bail Bondsman”, he details his work with his clients to get them through the system as quickly as possible or his efforts to make their jail time better. Judelson considers rapper Ja Rule his most famous client. When called upon to help Ja Rule, his uncle and a limo driver, Judelson thought he’d have them out of jail quickly but he was faced with larger than anticipated bail amounts. Even with the unexpected bail amounts, Judelson was able to use Ja Rule’s home as security and obtain the defendants’ release. A friendship developed between Ja Rule and Judelson. Ja publicized Judelson’s business by wearing a “Got Bail” t-shirt from Judelson to the BET awards. He also recommended Judelson to any of his friends looking for some assistance with a bail situation. Ja Rule served a 2 year prison sentence, but kept in touch with Judelson throughout his time in prison.

In the book, Judelson discusses his work with Anna Gristina, the “Soccer Mom Madam”, rapper DMX and Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Throughout the book, readers see how the well connected Judelson always seems to be able to find someone whether it be a guard or a gang member, to help him get things done.
